Gun Control
The Second Amendment to the Constitution permits the ownership of firearms. Everyone has the right to protect themselves and their loved ones. The US is a big country and many of our citizens rely on gun ownership as the last line of defense against those wishing harm, especially in areas where there are minimal law enforcement resources. Even those in urban areas have the right to protect themselves and their property. The protests, disturbances and violence seen in 2020 around the country is a reminder that when police resources are stretched, it is up to the individual to step up and defend their rights to life and property. I believe in keeping weapons out of the hands of criminals and in the hands of law-abiding citizens.
